There are currently two vacancies on offer to you, which will be within one of these directorates: ‘Adults & Health’, ‘Place’ or ‘Corporate and Communities’.

Kingston offers a very flexible hybrid working environment.

What will you do?

Supporting the Head of Financial Planning & Business Partnering, you will lead and manage the provision of business partner support to your specific directorate, ensuring team resources are targeted towards managing key financial risk and opportunities.

You will also support one or more Council Directors to play their part in protecting the financial health and ultimately success of the Council, delivering robust management of their service areas.

You will prepare budgets, reports, analysis and budget options as well as assessing the financial impact of new legislation when required.

An important part of the role will be to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external whilst also working collaboratively with other Strategic Finance Business Partners.

What will the role require?

In order to be successful in this role you will have completed a relevant professional qualification (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA) and ideally have experienced of working within a business partnering model or at least the ability to demonstrate what is required to deliver outcomes of this model.

Although experience in a local authority setting is advantageous, applications from the wider Public Sector or Private sector are also encouraged.

It is essential you have experience working alongside senior managers within a senior finance team that is customer focused whilst delivering strategic finance advice in a large and complex organisation.
