As the capital’s ultimate destination for evening, weekend and daytime courses, they inspire 60,000 Londoners with over 5,000 courses each year both in person and more recently online.
City Lit aim to help to inspire passions and realise ambitions and offers an array of courses across a massive range of subjects covering Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Languages and Humanities as well as providing centres of expertise in Speech Therapy, Learning Disabilities, Deaf Education, Communities and Universal Skills. Their students range from 19-99 and whilst in person cater for Londoners with online covers the United Kingdom. Courses run during the daytime, evenings and weekends to help you find something that fits in with your busy schedule.
Working closely with the Executive Director – People this role leads the generalist HR team.
Responsible for the full end-to-end journey of the employees ensuring that the Colleges values are at the heart of all the team’s work.
In a year post pandemic, the Head of HR will be working with the Executive Director to achieve the strategic objectives of the College and will take a lead on a range of projects.
Relationships are at the core of this role and through understanding; the key drivers of the College and the departments and people will define the operational leadership of the team.
This is a full generalist role and due to the size of the team and staff ratio, the Head of HR will be involved in recruitment, ER cases and advice.
