We are currently supporting a conservation organisation working across over a dozen countries to recruit an interim Financial Accountant for 6 months. The charity works with communities across various countries to build sustainability and conservation as well as looking at reform.
The Financial Accountant will support the provision of timely financial information and play a lead role in the closure of accounts and liaising with external auditors. Key responsibilities will include;
- Management and resolution of management letter points from statutory and project audits
- Preparation of the annual accounts and audit schedules
- Coordination of collating any supporting documents requested by auditors – Leading on project audits
- Identification of process improvements for more accurate and timely transaction processing
To be suitable for the role you need to be a qualified accountant who is open to new ideas and embracing innovation. Experience of working in not for profit organisation or auditing not for profit organisations is essential. Applications from those just leaving practice are actively encouraged.
The organisation offers hybrid working, with an expecation that candidates will be in the office 2 days per week.
