Interim Deputy Director of Finance (Services)
We are currently supporting a London Borough to recruit an Interim Deputy Director of Finance to provide support to their services. The role will start in September, initially for 6 months.
The role will work closely with senior stakeholders across services to understanding the challenges they are facing and support transformation across services to help deliver on savings plans. They will also be responsible for providing financial advice and challenge to senior decision makers and Members, as well as leading and motivating a large finance team, ensuring a culture of value add, helping to support decision making.
To be suitable for the role you need to be a qualified accountant with significant experience of leading and developing a high performing team in Local Authorities. Previous experience of supporting the delivery of savings plans across various services is also essential.
The role is hybrid working and they are looking for someone to be in the office 1-2 days per week.
