Are you a dynamic and experienced finance professional with a passion for making a difference? Do you want to be part of a bold transformation in one of London’s most vibrant boroughs?
At Camden, we’re on a mission to create a borough where everyone has the opportunity to thrive — a place where people can live, work, study, and visit with pride. We aim to make a tangible, positive impact through radical social change, ensuring that no one gets left behind and that every resident has the chance to succeed.
About the Role:
The Finance service at Camden is embarking on an exciting transformation journey, with a vision to deliver a high-quality, value-driven service underpinned by robust financial controls. As we continue to evolve, we are seeking a forward-thinking Head of Finance for Adults & Health to join our senior management team.
This role will be a key member of the finance senior management team, leading the financial strategy and management of our Health and Adult Services, which has recently received an excellent rating from the Care Quality Commission.
You will oversee a talented team of Business Partners who provide financial expertise, advice, and support to service directors. You’ll guide them in managing budgets effectively, driving cost-saving initiatives, and ensuring the efficient delivery of services.
In this influential role, you will also contribute to London-wide and national initiatives, fostering strong partnerships with external stakeholders, including other councils and health providers. Your work will directly contribute to shaping the future of public health and adult care services in Camden.
What You’ll Bring:
We’re looking for a qualified accountant with significant experience in finance business partnering within adult social care. You’ll have a proven ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels. Your leadership skills will enable you to manage and inspire a high-performing finance team, ensuring that Camden’s financial management is both effective and innovative.
What Camden Offers
Camden offers hybrid working arrangements and excellent benefits including flexible working, an outstanding pension scheme and access to our incredible staff networks.
We want Camden Council to be a great place to work and to ensure that our communities are represented across our workforce. A vital part of this is ensuring we are a truly inclusive organisation that encourages diversity in all respects, including diversity of thinking.
We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and those of Other Ethnicities, LGBT+, disabled and neurodiverse communities to make a real difference to our residents so that equalities and justice remains at the heart of everything we do.
