This international finance role is a brilliant step for those interested in being part of a global management team with a presence in over 20 countries, running life-changing projects across the world.
Offering the chance to work with one of the biggest brand names in the sector, the Head of Donor Finance Business Partnering is a varied and complex finance role suitable for a qualified accountant with significant experience working in international development and operating in a strategic capacity.
Reporting into the Finance Director, the Head of Donor Finance Business Partnering will be responsible for:
- Overseeing a large team of qualified accountants, each individually responsible for partnering with donors across Europe and the rest of the world
- Developing tools to improve reporting capacity, and leading an organisation-wide project to align donor and country reporting
- Developing relationships across the global network, building trust and confidence with overseas teams at a senior, strategic level
- Overseeing the continued development of a Commercial Bids team, growing the proportion of work taken on a payment-by-results contract basis
This role would be a great move for someone with experience working in International Development in a senior position managing a donor reporting team, or a Finance Director or Head of Finance from a smaller international charity, looking to take on a strategic role in one of the most highly-regarded names in the sector. You must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIFPA) with experience reporting to multiple donors such as USAID, DFID and the EU. Candidates with experience working in donor assurance at Director level are also encouraged to apply. Ideally with exposure to both grants and commercial funding, we are looking for someone with the ability to think commercially and communicate this across the business. First rate communication skills are essential, as is a genuine interest in working in the international development sector.
