Ivy Rock Partners is supporting a high profile international charity with their search for a Finance Business Partner to join their International Finance team. Offering the chance to work with one of the most prestigious names in the sector, the International Finance Business Partner is a varied and complex finance role that has proved to be a fantastic step into the sector for newly qualified accountants leaving accounting practice.
Known across the world for supporting millions through both long-term programmes of change and providing emergency support to victims of conflict and natural disasters, this organisation has a reputation for supporting and developing its team and providing opportunities for individual growth and progression.
Working closely with multiple divisions across the charity, based both in the UK and internationally, the Finance Business Partner will play a key role in influencing senior decision makers by providing financial analysis on key projects and divisional performance. Key responsibilities will include:
- Putting together budgets and forecasts for multiple divisions (budgets ranging from £1m – £6m)
- Tracking performance against budgets, providing meaningful analysis for the directors of these divisions including managing risks
- Acting as Financial advisor on key projects, providing insight and input at every stage of project development
- Maintaining a continuous focus on development, suggesting efficiencies and driving process improvements
This role would be a great step into the sector for a newly-qualified auditor from an accounting firm. Candidates with experience in a Finance Business Partnering role are also encouraged to apply, regardless of sector experience. An accounting qualification is essential (ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA) as is the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders quickly and effectively. The Finance Business Partner role is a great fit for someone with the ability to think commercially and a desire to bring a value-adding lens to the charity sector. First rate communication skills are essential, as is a genuine interest in working in the international development sector.
