In this exciting newly created role, the Corporate Services Director will support the CEO and COO as a member of the Executive and lead Finance, Assurance, Business Planning, Estates & Facilities Management, IT, Risk and Security.

The Corporate Services Director supports the COO and CEO, playing a key role in ensuring that The National Archives maintains the highest standards of excellence and efficiency, continually exploring and delivering improvements to systems, processes, asset, and estate management and, (working with the Director of People, Inclusion & Change) organisational culture and new ways of working. The post holder is responsible for ensuring strong financial and performance discipline across the organisation, championing the use of management data and technology to support Board and Executive decision-making in accordance with our ambitious strategic vision Archives for Everyone.
We are seeking the right balance of talent and experience for this role. There will likely be areas in this post that are new to you, but you will have the capability, experience and confidence to deliver against the organisational vision and be able to lead and inspire talented teams of professionals across a broad portfolio.
Financial qualification (CCAB or equivalent) is desirable, but not mandatory, you will likely be a proven Deputy Director/Director of Finance, Estates or IT. We welcome applications from all sectors, but this role would certainly suit an ambitious SCS1/Deputy Director from civil services seeking a uniquely broad strategic exposure and a platform for progression towards Chief Operating Officer posts.
