The Finance Manager roles present an exciting opportunity to join the finance department and help provide outstanding strategic financial advice and support to either Education and Schools, Growth and Environment or Community Protection. the roles will be an integral part of the finance management team, providing high quality financial insight to enable delivery of services across the Council.
As well as leading a team, you will be engaging with senior stakeholders across the service to identify efficiencies, maximise value for money and ensure a high quality of provision to service users. The role will also be involved with driving innovation to improve service delivery.
To be suitable for the role you need to be a qualified accountant with previous experience of providing a business partnering service to stakeholders. Exposure to supporting services including education, health or environment is desirable but not essential. The ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholder is essential, as is experience of influencing and challenging stakeholders.
Hertfordshire offer a hybrid working model, with an expectation that people are in the Stevenage office 1 day per week.
