Finance Business Partner – Education

Following a recent restructure, Waltham Forest are looking to recruit to several senior roles to join the team. These are significant roles for the Council, and we are keen to attract people to act as trusted advisors and critical friends for stakeholders, challenging thinking and influencing service delivery.

The Finance Business Partner for Education will work closely with the stakeholders across the department, providing financial advice and challenge to ensure that they are giving every child every opportunity. This means supporting schools to ensure they are providing children with the best opportunity to learn, helping develop a culture of ambition and consistency across the SEND systems. The role will be responsible for providing a business partnering service for the dedicated schools grant.

Waltham Forest are looking for someone who is a qualified accountant, or will be qualified in the next 9 months, with previous experience of providing a business partnering service in a large complex organisation. Exposure to Education in either a Council or Multi Academy Trust is essential, as is the ability to build relationships and influence and challenge.
