Head of Finance Business Partnering – Stronger Communities/ Resources/ Chief Executive

As part of the Finance Service, you will be at the heart of the work to ensure residents benefit from these opportunities and help improve the lives of everyone in Waltham Forest.

Following a recent restructure, Waltham Forest are looking to recruit to several senior roles to join the team. These are significant roles for the Council, and we are keen to attract people to act as trusted advisors and critical friends for stakeholders, challenging thinking and influencing service delivery.

The Head of Finance Business Partnering for Stronger Communities/ Resources/ Chief Executive will lead a team working closely with the senior leadership teams across 3 departments. They will ensure the delivery of these key services whilst also supporting the projects including data transformation and helping the Stronger Communities directorate to pull on collective skills, experience to fundamentally change how the Council operates, and hardwire prevention and early intervention in everything they do. They will provide a full business partnering service, ensuring stakeholders have the financial information to make informed decisions as well as supporting the production of business cases.

Waltham Forest are looking for someone who is a qualified accountant with previous experience of leading a team providing a business partnering service in a complex organisation. The ability to build relationships and influence and challenge stakeholders is also essential.
