The Greater London Authority (GLA) is the centre of government for London, serving both the Mayor and the London Assembly. The Mayor of London sets the budget and is responsible for making London a better place for everyone and the Assembly holds the Mayor and Mayoral advisers to account. The GLA itself plays a key role in delivering projects across Greater London over areas including Housing, Transport, Environment, Culture, Economy and Regeneration.
We are currently recruiting for several roles in the expanding finance team, so they are better placed to support the delivery of the amazing work the GLA does. With all the roles you will be able to have a major impact across London and the people who live, work and travel there.
The Treasury Accountant leads the delivery of effective treasury accounting for the GLA and GLAP entities. This includes reconciling GLA/GLAP records with those of investment partners and working with stakeholders to ensure that recording of treasury activity is streamlined, efficient and effective. The role will also take responsibility for completing all treasury related notes for the published financial statements.
To be suitable for the role you need to be a fully qualified accountant with significant experience of working in a treasury accounting function of a large complex organisation.
